Cheerleading is becoming one of the fastest growing sports in Canada. All Star Cheerleading combines gymnastics, stunting, acrobats and dance into a synchronized, high energy choreographed routine.
The Super Cheer Scorpions consist of three clubs: Milton, Niagara and Stoney Creek consisting of athletes from Brampton, Georgetown, Milton, Burlington, Mississauga, Cambridge, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Thorold, Stoney Creek, Grimsby, Hamilton and many more communities in these areas. Athletes range in age from 3 to 35 years of age. Each team competes in different divisions based on their age and skill level. Super Cheer promotes:
athleticism and good sportsmanship!
learning how to function within a team
positive social skills
individual responsibility
development of creative thinking and problem solving
exposure to new life experiences through travel and competitions
making new friendships outside of school (helps community cohesion)
community involvement
pride
builds self esteem and confidence. |
